In line with International Women’s Day next month, we’re inviting you to share in a collection of conversations had with some truly magnificent women across the Maltese islands, all of which have at least five things in common.
- Connection. They have all connected with themselves and aligned with their soul’s purpose.
- Creativity. They have had a vision and created something viable from that vision.
- Collaboration. They have collaborated with others to turn their visions into reality.
- Communication. They are communicating their purpose to the world.
For those that are still with me, yes I did say five things. The fifth is that they are all bringing their art, their purpose, their souls journey, their love to the world in honour of service. They are all tapping into their inner warrioress, speaking their truth and showing UP!

We’re proud to have David’s Bakery Gozo on this journey with us. Not to be confused with the bakery in Malta by the same name, this super-star Gozitan bakery has recently launched a really tasty new product to their long list of offerings. Now…I love bread but unfortunately, it just doesn’t like me. I always feel fairly lumpy and heavy after eating it and so when I heard about Mamma Mia, the bread hand made at David’s Bakery Gozo, I was really excited to know more. It is specially formulated for women, fortified and jammed packed with vitamins and minerals too so it doesn’t leave you feeling like you’ve overdone the carbs. My only issue is, my husband really likes it too. Bah!

There is something very special about having an authentic and honest conversation with someone. When a simple ‘How Are You?’ is met with utter transparency an authentic dialogue is born that can become comforting, supportive, encouraging, and hopeful, as opposed to disguised and unseen. When someone is really heard, that bond can deepen and all manners of things can take place within that exchange.

Once you have opened up, it sets the tone of that conversation and enables everyone to have freedom of expression. Sometimes just an ear is required, or to show some concern for another’s wellbeing. Something might resonate with us, make us smile, laugh or even trigger a sticky point of envy, despair, or rage. Either way, we are meant to do that for each other. We are meant to arouse and ignite, learn and heal whilst becoming better humans in the process.
