The Super Sacred Foodies And Marvellous Magic School Bus Have Collided In A Huge Festive Love Bomb And Created The Gozo Soup Kitchen…And You’re Invited.
Magic School Bus & Sacred Food team up to bring the local community a Soup Kitchen on Wheels!
We think this is a totally awesome idea. Not only because it offers yummy, healthy, warming food to those less fortunate through the winter months, but this wonderful event is also open to anyone and everyone who wishes to enjoy it. The rules are simple. It’s a soup kitchen in the truest sense of the word. That means free soup and bread for all who come, on a first-come-first-served basis and those that can, leave a donation or choose to pay it forward.
When these guys are cooking individually, you can guarantee that it’s not just the food that will blow you away. The sustainable thought processes from concept to strategy are always knockout, so together – we can only imagine that this is a match made in soul-full heaven.
‘We like to see the soup kitchen as being from the community for the community‘ say the team. For now, this collaborative event is scheduled to take place every Friday through December in Marsalforn car park but if the project is a success, it could continue. It’s also open on Christmas Day.
They also ask you to, of course, be mindful when it comes to social distancing and wearing your mask. There’s plenty of room on location, so after collecting your food, they suggest finding a spot at one of their tables or taking the soup away to enjoy at home.
If this isn’t a shining example of what businesses can do when they work together – we don’t know what is. Respect.
