We feature a Guest or two each month and this week we reached out to Adele Wimsett of Harmonise You, an alternative health and family wellness trail blazer from the UK. Here, she gives us her insight into the benefits of using essential oils in the home.
“Exploring natural solutions to our health is high on the agenda at the moment and what better way to do this than to put the gifts of the earth, essential oils, to work for us! From supporting our immunity and emotional and mental health to replacing toxic products in our homes, essential oils truly are the most versatile and effective tools we can have in our toolbox.”
Says Adele.
Science supports what we already โknowโ about the healing benefits of essential oils. Essentially (no pun intended) they are the very essence of a plant, that once extracted, these volatile compounds can have a powerful effect on our wellbeing, not least of all our immunity.
The beauty of using essential oils for your immune system is the variety of application methods you can choose to use. Please remember that when using essential oils, not all are created equally. This largely unregulated industry means that labels such as โpureโ mean very little! Sticking to therapeutic grade essential oils from an ethical brand you trust, means you can broaden the array of ways to use them, including internalisation, if you wish. People tend to be most familiar with aromatic โ inhaling the oils โ or topical โ diluting and applying to the skin.
Through using therapeutic grade essential oils, you can boost and support your immune system helping you with seasonal threats. There is a long list of oils known to have to assist the body in this way, including Oregano, Melaleuca, Rosemary, Clove, Black Pepper and Frankincense to name just a few.

Adele’s Essential Oil Immunity Secrets
Scientific studies have shown that adding oils to a cold water diffuser can purify the air, providing the body with protection. I love to do this. Warm, spicy oils such as cinnamon and wild orange when people are visiting our home โ not only does it small great, but supports our well being too!
If you choose to ingest therapeutic grade essential oils you can support your body from the inside out. We add citrus oils such as Lemon oil to our water to support the body to cleanse and provide antioxidants. Adding Turmeric essential oils to a veggie cap is also great for immune support. Additionally, we love to combine immune boosting oils into an Immunity Rollerball and apply this over our throats when environmental threats are high. I like to dilute oils such as Oregano, Melaleuca, Lemon & Frankincense and apply this daily to our family.”
We hope this has inspired you to perhaps bring these oils into your own homes and support your natural defence system.
