Happy new year! Here are your zodiac forecasts to guide you through January 2021. if you know your moon and ascendant then check them out too for a more detailed picture. One of the main themes coming up this month is moving out of our comfort zone.
Hey Aries. Your ruling planet Mars has been in your sign since the end of June 2020. It will have been tough going for a while but he finally leaves your home on the 7th of January and moves into Taurus to ignite your money making abilities. In the meantime, the emphasis this year shifts away from your career and into your zone of hopes and wishes.
When Mercury, our planet of communication moves into the same area of Aquarius, he fires up the lines of communication, especially when he joins both Saturn and Jupiter, our two big boys recently arrived here. And, by the way, Mercury goes retrograde on the 30th until the 21st February. So you’ll even get a second chance with ideas you’re working on if they don’t materialise the first time round. You’re certainly going to have plenty to say about your ideas for your future direction, and you know what? These ideas stand a very good chance of materialising, as they will be backed up with a stunning new moon in Capricorn on the 13th, in your career house, and it’s conjunct Pluto, so you can use this energy to completely transform the way you work. Especially your public profile.
With Uranus in your house of finance going direct on the 14th and being conjoined by Mars also now in Taurus on the 20th and 21st you will be eager to overhaul your spending, but just be careful that your Martian energy doesn’t overextend your wallet. Especially because our big boy Jupiter is making a harsh angle from Aquarius from the 15th to 19th so you need to reign yourself in from unnecessary extravagances.
The Full Wolf Moon on the 28th is in Leo in your zone of creativity, fun, children and love affairs. The moon is opposite the Sun and Jupiter conjunct and is squared by an explosive Mars Uranus conjunction in Taurus. What needs to end in your life? What has gone past its sell by date? If you don’t let it go willingly it will become much messier and potentially destructive.
It’s a new year Aries just take with you the people on team Aries and let go of the people and situations which no longer serve you.
Hey Taurus. All the action this month, is in your first house, Taurus, so it’s all about you! And when Mars links up here, with Uranus on the 20th and 21st, and with Uranus now direct as of the 14th, you’ll be surprising everyone with your inventive get up and go, not at all the lazy Taurus at the moment. Mercury, our planet of communication, moves into Aquarius, and your house of career, on the 9th he very quickly meets up with both big boys, Saturn and Jupiter, newly arrived here. And this finds you ready to implement changes you have been working on behind the scenes, and you can now make this public. However, Mercury goes retrograde on the 30th until February 21st, so this gives you an opportunity to iron out any teething problems in your new venture.
Venus, your ruling planet, moves into Capricorn on the 9th, your house of travel. She joins up with Pluto on the 29th, as you find yourself attracted to the idea of moving out of your comfort zone, and travelling, especially around the 13th, when the New Moon, here, in Capricorn underlines your need to spread your wings and fly, encouraged by its conjunction to Pluto.
Watch out for energy drains from 15th – 19th, when Jupiter in Aquarius, makes a harsh aspect to Uranus in your first house of Taurus. Try and pace yourself, and do not resort to sugary treats to build up your energy. Uranus whom you are hosting for several more years turns direct on the 14th and you’ll find yourself quite enjoying moving outside your comfort zone. Even if it is a bit exhausting at times.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon is in Leo, on the 28th, and it’s in the area of your chart connected with home and family. The Sun and Jupiter are conjunct, and in opposition in Aquarius and both are harshly aspected by a Uranus / Mars conjunction in your sign, Taurus. Are you moving house? Moving country? There is certainly going to be some big shake ups in your life, Taurus. Thank goodness you are now getting used to being pushed out of your comfy chair.
Hey Gemini. Your ruling planet Mercury, is quite active this month, making you very chatty and full of inspiring insights, especially when it’s conjunct our two big boys, Saturn and Jupiter now residing in Aquarius, your ninth house of higher learning, as well as travel. You’ll be quite the philosopher this month, Gemini, and if people didn’t listen the first time you’ll have a second crack of the whip, when Mercury goes retrograde on the 30th, until the 21st of February. Just make sure you do not shock your audience too much.
This month’s new moon on the 13th, is conjunct Pluto in your eighth house, you’ll be looking at how you can transform yourself, and get your feet on the ground with your finances, so as to establish better methods to grow investments. The following day Uranus, our planet of surprise, turns direct in Taurus, and over the coming weeks, you will find you’ll be surprising yourself with how much you’re changing, and having a better understanding of coping with limitations. And recognising that some of these limitations are self-imposed. But just remember to keep your feet on the ground, when Jupiter makes a harsh angle to Uranus, which has the ability to inflate your ideas unrealistically.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo, on the 28th is potentially tricky, due to the Suns conjunction with Jupiter, and a Uranus Mars conjunction in Taurus, which form a challenging angle. Be careful you are not being too fixed about travel plans and find a way to think outside the box.
Hey Cancer. The year starts with a focus on your close relationships, and a recognition that discussions that have taken place recently, are really helping these relationships transform meaningfully. And when Mercury moves into Aquarius on the 9th, your eighth house of transformation, and conjoins with both Saturn then Jupiter you will find your thoughts are more concerned with the meaning of life, and your own fragility, after the challenges of the last couple of years. Mercury turns retrograde on the 30th, until February 21st. Take care to not overthink lofty matters and allow your nearest and dearest to bring you back down to earth.
The new moon in Capricorn on the 13th, conjunct our planet of transformation Pluto, is affected by strong energies from both Jupiter and Uranus harshly aspected a couple of days later. Normally ones nearest and dearest are not best placed to be our therapists, but in this case, I think it’s wise to listen to them, as they endeavor to keep your musings about ideas and dreams realistic.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon on the 28th, has incredible energy, so needs to be handled strategically, especially as it occurs in your second house of finance. The configurations for this full moon are that the Sun is conjunct Jupiter, and they are harshly aspected by a conjunction in your eleventh house of dreams and ideals by Uranus, now direct, and by Mars, newly arrived in Taurus and joining up with Uranus. It’s quite possible money is being made available to you, which would help fulfil a long held dream, however there is a bittersweet edge to this, as the person you’d really like to acknowledge your success is not around anymore.
Hey Leo. The emphasis this month shifts into your seventh house of significant relationships, Aquarius. You are now hosting the two maverick big boys, Saturn and Jupiter, and they’re going to ignite this area, and bring solid lasting change. And when Mercury moves into Aquarius on the 9th, and joins forces with both Saturn, and Jupiter, the lines of communication are going to be super hot. And when Mercury goes retrograde on the 30th, until the 21st of February, you will have second chances with a certain someone, in fact if single, you could be spoilt for choice this month.
The new moon in Capricorn on the 13th, conjunct Pluto, gives you a wonderful opportunity to finally transform your day-to-day routine, without the restrictions that Saturn imposed, whilst he was here. And your career is set to really takeoff, especially when Uranus goes direct in your house of career, Taurus, on the 14th and he is joined by Mars from the 7th. Mars, our high energy planet, will make you turbo charged as you take big strides forward towards fulfilling career goals. Just watch out for a possible clash with your nearest and dearest between the 15th – 19th, regarding your career, and because they’re feeling left out.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon on the on the 28th, is in your sign Leo. This moon is harshly aspected by both Uranus and Mars in your house of career. It heralds a chapter of your life coming to a close, but this is not to be feared as it’s a clearing of outworn ways of proceeding, and adapting to the career changes you are experiencing, and how this affects your close relationships. Just remember, turbulence means things are moving and it will not be long until you reach smoother skies.
Hey Virgo. Have you finished that project yet? The departure of both big boys Saturn and Jupiter from Capricorn, and the area of your chart connected with creativity suggest it’s time to acknowledge you’ve tweaked enough. And Mercury’s presence is certainly giving you the opportunity to think creatively. Mercury leaves Capricorn on the 9th, to conjunct both Saturn and Jupiter in your house of service, Aquarius. So our planet of communication shifts the focus on to health matters you may have been neglecting, so make that doctors appointment and rearrange your daily routine to make sure you take good care of your psychological health, as well as your physical health. But a timely retrograde from Mercury, from the 30th until the 21st of February, gives you a final chance to go over well trodden ground, to convince yourself you can let it go and move on.
Jupiter’s presence in Aquarius, harshly aspected by Uranus in Taurus between the 15th and the 19th sees you resisting change, which on an inner level, would be a game changer for how you view the world. However, the new moon on the 13th conjunct Pluto our planet of transformation in Capricorn gives you yet another brilliant opportunity to transform a project dear to your heart. And when Uranus goes direct in Taurus the following day, you start to look at ways you can upgrade your understanding of the internet, and how you could use this medium to teach your passion.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo, on the 28th, is of course opposite the Sun and Jupiter conjunct in Aquarius, and harshly aspected by both Uranus and Mars, conjunct in Taurus. Use this challenging energy to become more enlightened about the inner you, rather than act out and give up, or throw the metaphorical baby out with the bathwater. Come on Virgo, we know you like perfection but please recognise when it is time to let it go.
Hey Libra. More than anything Libra, you crave balance in all areas of your life, and the last couple of years have been an uphill struggle at times, especially whilst you have had to play peacemaker within different scenarios, which have tested your patience, especially with yourself. The good news happened last month, with the awaited shift of emphasis from the area of your chart connected with home and family, and into a much more creative fun part of your chart. And with both big boys Saturn and Jupiter here, you will be yearning for more freedom, to enjoy the subjects and activities you are passionate about. Saturn may still slow you down in this area, but why not use his energy in a constructive way to add stability and substance to future plans and accept that any restrictions are just a recalibration towards a much brighter future.
With Mercury in Aquarius from the 9th, there will be excited chats and planning, to get ideas off the ground. Mercury goes retrograde from the 30th until the 21st of February, but this gives a much-needed opportunity to tweak the details of forthcoming projects.
A lovely new moon in Capricorn, in the area of your chart connected with home life, is conjunct our big boy Pluto, giving you a chance for much needed change in this area, even a complete overhaul of your primary dwelling. And Uranus in Taurus going direct from the 14th brings some much-needed freeing up of funds, just don’t overspend as Jupiter is making a tough angle to Uranus at this time. This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo on the 28th, really sees you eager to make big changes and initiate some dreams, to help you have a more fulfilling life, and you’re certainly dreaming big! But if it’s a round the world trip you’re after, double check your finances, and make sure you understand the various currency exchanges
Hey Scorpio. January finds you feeling a sense of a new dawn in your life. And when Mars, the planet of energy and action, moves into your seventh house of significant relationships, on the 7th, you’ll get a sense of excitement at what can unfold for you in your closest relationship, especially around the 20th and 21st, when Mars conjuncts Uranus, who is now direct in your seventh house of Taurus. You expect loyalty from a partner, and this month can see some unexpected twists and turns and sparks flying. Will they be sparks of passion or anger? Time will tell, and a tense angle from Jupiter to Uranus, between the15th and 19th, sees a potential clash about living arrangements.
The new moon in Capricorn on the 13th, is conjunct Pluto, our planet of transformation, I think you will be thinking outside the box, and coming up with some interesting ways of how you communicate. Watch out for a bit of envy from work colleagues as they wish they had thought of your idea first.
Mercury, our planet of communication enters Aquarius, and your zone of home life from the 9th, and as he conjuncts both Saturn, and Jupiter, in turn, you may feel as if discussions with a loved one can never get resolved, with a stop start energy around. Mercury goes retrograde on the 30th, so a second chance to iron out the details, Scorpio, and he’s giving you till February 21st.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo, is all about your public image and career direction. And with the sun conjunct Jupiter, opposite in Aquarius, a stroke of luck helps any fiery opposition from your nearest and dearest. As this full moon brings a resolution to career plans that have seemed elusive. Remember the words of the song, ‘Feeling Good’. It is a new Dawn a new day and you can now feel good. Have faith Scorpio.
Hey Sagittarius. With the emphasis now shifting from your money zone, Capricorn, into your house of communication and thinking, Aquarius, you will feel much more comfortable that longer term financial dealings can now mature in their own time. And when Mercury, our planet of communication, joins up with both our big boys, Saturn and Jupiter, from the 9th, you’ll be waxing lyrical to people who will listen, and inspiring them with your far-reaching visions of life. Mercury turns retrograde on the 30th so if you are involved in teaching new ideas to people, you will have a chance to refine the details. Mercury turns direct again on the 21st of February.
Mars finally leaves your house of fun, on the 7th, giving you a breather from a fun, but very busy time. He joins up with Uranus in Taurus, who will be present in your sixth house of day-to-day routine and health matters for several years. Mars is conjunct Uranus on the 20th and 21st, so do not ignore anything that flares up around this time, be it to do with colleagues or health, or even the family pet. There’s a Jupiter Uranus harsh angle also this month. And this underlines the fact that you cannot ignore any ailments. Nothing to worry about as long as you nip it in the bud.
A lovely new moon in Capricorn on the 13th is conjunct our big boy Pluto, who can transform the way you deal with your finances, now that restrictive Saturn has left this area. This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo, opposite an amazing Sun Jupiter conjunction, brings the opportunity to close a chapter of your life which has become too challenging, the full moon is squared by Uranus and Mars, and this harsh angle highlights the need to completely revolutionise your day to day working routine. Because you always strive to do your best, the challenges represented by this full moon, mean something must give, and you don’t want it to be your health.
Hey Capricorn. The planet of communication, Mercury, moves into Aquarius, your second house of finance, on the 9th, just as Venus, the planet of love and attraction, slips into your first house, Capricorn. Venus brings a richness of spirit with her, helping you to start the month feeling vibrant and loved, whilst Mercury joins up with our big boys, Saturn and Jupiter, bringing news of a windfall, or money coming to you that you’ve been expecting, and certainly whilst Jupiter flirts with this part of your chart on and off over the next few months, make the most of his abundant energy, and pay heed to Saturn, who will be here for a couple of years to put the brakes on, when necessary, if your expenditure is greater than your income. Mercury goes retrograde, on the 30th until February 21st, so you will get a second chance to repair any damage to your wallet.
The planet Mars, who has been shaking up your home and family life for the last few months, takes his leave on the 7th, to move into your fifth house, Taurus, your fun, and creativity zone. By the 20th, he conjuncts Uranus in Taurus, now moving direct, and brings a clash of energies. This can be an unusual extreme sport for example. Or on a more mundane level a clash of ideas with romantic partners or children over your ability to think outside the box. Not something you usually do Capricorn.
However. with Pluto still in your first house Capricorn over the next few years people will have to get used to a very new you. And a new moon conjunct Pluto, on the 13th, will see you showing the world just how much you have changed, and are able to change, and surprise the doubting Thomas’s who thought you’d never change.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo, is on the 28th. By this time the Sun is conjunct Jupiter, in Aquarius, in your second house of finance. The full moon is squared harshly by Mars and Uranus in Taurus. Full moons bring completion and resolutions, also endings and the hard angle from the Mars /Uranus conjunction suggest tough decisions about children or romantic partners. It can also be creative projects, and a decision to use some funds for said creative project. Whichever of these areas resonates with you, it makes it a tough decision, but for the best reasons.
Hey Aquarius. Mercury, our planet of communication, slips into your first house Aquarius, on the 9th and joins forces with both Saturn and Jupiter, our two big boys, who have taken up residence here. Whilst Saturn traverses this part of your chart over the next couple of years, people will experience you as more mature and sober, than of recent years, and Mercury gives you the ability to talk with more authority than you have been able too for a long time. And when Mercury links up with Jupiter here, you will have even more to say, as the time spent over the last few years with these heavy planets in your twelfth house, made it tough not to go within, or seek a therapist to understand the inner you.
And a new moon in Capricorn in your twelfth house on the 13th, is conjunct Pluto, our planet of transformation, so I think it’s time for you to pat yourself on the back, and acknowledge the work you’ve done on yourself, especially as even those around you are now noticing how you’ve changed, and grown up, and remember it’s not just kids that grow up, as we go through many different phases of our lives where we discover that we can grow up even more.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon is in Leo, your seventh house, and the house of your significant relationships. The sun, by now in your sign, is conjunct Jupiter, our planet of luck and expansion. This full moon is squared harshly by a Mars Uranus conjunction, in Taurus, in your house of home and family. It would seem big changes can be expected in the family, that you may not be that comfortable with. It could even mean someone moving out or in. Whatever it is it is a necessary disruption that brings needed change. As has been said, in a well-known TV ScFi, “resistance is futile”. And if that’s all too daunting remember that the Universe always knows best and has your back. So, any changes, however tough are for a very good reason.
Hey Pisces. Two of our big boy heavy players, Saturn, and Jupiter, are now in your twelfth house of Aquarius. So the next couple of years are going to be extremely significant in your personal inner world development. Jupiter whizzes through here bringing opportunities, and the right people into your life to help with this inner quest. Whist Saturn, who takes his time through this part of your chart, gives you the patience and determination to finally really get to grips with your inner world of moods and fantasies, and make sense of them in the outside world. Saturn will give you substance over the next couple of years. Mercury, our planet of communication slips into this sign from the 9th and meets up with both Saturn and Jupiter, inspiring excitement in you, as you begin to see how learning more about you will reap dividends. Mercury goes retrograde on the 30th, until February 21st and gives you a second crack of the whip at the inner you.
A lovely new moon in Capricorn, on the 13th is conjunct Pluto, in your eleventh house of hopes and wishes. This sees the transformation of a long-held dream, and can lead to exciting breakthroughs, especially with Mars now in Taurus, your third house of communication and writing, and as he conjuncts Uranus here on the 20th and 21st, you’ll be accelerating with the speed of light, with the unusual innovative ideas you have. So, get them on paper quick, or rather on the laptop.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo, is on the 28th opposite the Sun conjunct Jupiter, in your twelfth house. A harsh square from Mars conjunct Uranus, suggests some envy from colleagues about an idea of yours which is taking off. Do not let this get to you. You have worked hard Pisces to get where you are, so do not let anyone rain on your parade.
